The Yellow Deli in Nelson

Formerly under the name Preserved Seed, we have been in operation for the past 12 years. We have been a popular spot for people to meet up in Nelson, over a hot mug of Chai Maté and a muffin or a steamed sandwich or a bowl of hot, homemade soup! The Preserved Seed sprouted in the summer of 2014 into a Yellow Deli!

The Yellow Deli in Nelson is nestled into the side of the hill between Baker St. and Vernon St. with a covered walkway providing access to the deli from both top and bottom of the hill. We have seating on two floors, with outdoor decks overlooking Kootnay Lake, as well as seating in the Cram Shack (also includes a patio) next door. The Cram Shack is set up for students and those who need to work on their computers, with free wifi. The atmosphere is both peaceful and vibrant, with old weathered barn wood adorning a buzzing social scene.

All of us who work here are growing together, and desire to produce the abundant fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. That fruit is what we labour for and find in serving one another and our customers!

Our current hours of operation are: 24 hours a day, starting Monday morning at 8:00 am through until Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. We are closed for the weekend.
